Pc with Intel DP45SG board wont boot up.?

I have an Intel DP45SG Motherboard in my custom pc and it wont boot up. Lights and fan are on but that is as far as I can get, no video signal. I think it has something to do with resetting the CMOS or BIOS. I am wondering if anyone has any idea on the correct procedure for resetting the CMOS for the above Motherboard. It booted up fine before, but then I changed the processor voltage, and am trying to figure out how to reset it.

Boot into the BIOS, hit delete on start-up. And reset the default settings, close and save changes.

Good Luck. %26quot;El Padrino%26quot;.
Pull the CMOS battery out with the system off. Keep it out for around 30 seconds. Replace it and as long as you did not fry something, it should set the BIOS to the default settings.
Pull your cmos battery out and it will reset and then try again if not then you might have fried something hard to say without knowing everything you have done to it.

  • I want to install a new processor in my computer, how do I change the settings?

I have a 500 in my computer now but I want to put in a 800.
I want to install a new processor in my computer, how do I change the settings?
First make sure the processor is compatible, then plug it in- make sure theres thermal grease under it, it's plugged in right, and there's a fan on top of it- also with thermal grease on the heat sink if you got one. Make sure to ground yourself too, with an anti static strap if you can. Anyways, compatibility should not be an issue, I don't think that you need drivers for processors, but if anything you should need to change things in the BIOS, by pressing F2 or Delete, depending on the manufacturer, on startup- it tells you.

    Should work.

    Good luck! :)

If your 800 processor physically fits on Mother board. Then it would work without altering any settings. Bios detects cpu automatically.

Can you change the default font in Microsoft Works Word Processor?

I hate typing in anything besides Courier New and I'd love if I could change the default font setting to automatically be in that font so I don't have to take the extra time to change it. It's such a pain if I'm just typing myself a note or something. But I can't concentrate on what I'm writing if I'm preoccupied with how much I hate all other fonts...

I don't think there is a way. If you're used to Word, Works Word processor will leave you crying for lost features.

    Sorry.

I think I just messed up my computer.....?

I have an AMD Duron processor. I was messing around in the settings menu or whatever you call it (in startup when you press delete) and I changed my processor speed from 100 mhz to 133mhz and now my computer wont boot- it just keeps on restarting and nothing is shown on the screen. Please help, I know how to take parts of my computer and stuff if I have to.
I think I just messed up my computer.....?
You need to reset yiur BIOS, there is a jumper block next to the BIOS battery, change the jumper to the other set of pins for about 30 seconds, and then put it back on the original pins. Your manual will show you what jumper to move and how to do it.

The other way is to remove the battery for about 30 seconds, and then replace it.

Go to the top left where it says File and left click... go to Save As and then when the dialog box pops up name the file and then right below it you will be able to select the file type. You will be able to save it as a RTF file.

Be warned that you could change the formatting when doing this.
    Run MS Word.

Open your RTF document in MS Word.

    Click on the %26quot;File%26quot; menu.

Choose %26quot;Save As...%26quot; and make sure that %26quot;Word Document%26quot; is selected in the %26quot;Save as type%26quot; box.

    Save As... Word Document

Enter the file name you wish or leave it as it is. This will keep the

same name as your RTF document, but convert it to Word-format.

    Click %26quot;Save%26quot;.
