How easy it it to change a processor inside a pc? and the RAM?

What tools are needed?|||It%26#039;s very easy, but you have to be very careful and make sure you are grounded so there is no static electricity. You just need a phillipshead screwdriver to get the side of the case off. The RAM just pops in the slot and the CPU is under a heatsink and fan assembly that you have to remove first.|||Incredibly easy. A screwdriver to remove the lid from the unit (some systems you don%26#039;t even need a screwdriver). RAM can be changed by hand (little clips hold the RAM pcb in place. You can also change the processor by hand, may need a small flathead screw driver to remove the Processor after you have taken off the fan and heatsink (metal thing). Make sure you%26#039;re somewhere to reduce the amount of static. Like not on a carpet etc in case it damages the boards as you hold them. An anti-static wrist-band is quite cheap however if you want to be doubly sure.|||RAM is easy - providing you have the same type. They just push into slots on the motherboard and are held by clips at the ends. Make sure static is discharged, preferably by wearing a wrist strap connected to the PC frame. Processor is going to be more difficult - again it must be the same slot type. The heatsink is mounted on to the processor using special heat conducting gel.|||The tools are very basic, a few screwdriver.

The ram is easy just be careful to pull it out along the correct angle. And to get a snap when you push the ram in. Again do not push too hard, just enough.

The CPU is harder, but doeable, find a good how to site with pictures. Maybe MaximumPC.com. Every mother can only accpet certain types of CPU and Ram so make sure you get the correct type.|||Before you do it go to www.kenyada.com and see how it is done in a step by step procedure.Click on to building a computer.
