Is it possible to physically change a processor chip in a laptop? ?

I just got a new laptop but it has an intel celeron chip. Now I do know that celeron chips are bad and in the long run I would prefer a better processor. Is it possible to swap chips? If so how is it done?|||Yes, just go to the store you bought it and ask to upgrade. In most cases, there is a way to upgrade|||possible ....yes

but only if the motherboard is compatible with other chips (similar to faster ones available when new !)|||It is possible...if the laptop maker offers an upgrade. More than likely the answer will be no, as laptop makers want you to buy a new laptop rather than upgrade it.

I also suggest researching laptops better in the future and consider what you want versus what you can afford versus what you will need it for before you buy.|||In many cases YES

Unless the manufacturer has installed the highest available processor for your laptop%26#039;s motherboard, you can get it upgraded. If you are asking this question, then it is probably better for you to take the computer into a local repair shop. My computer store offer%26#039;s free consultation, so hopefully you can find a similar store in your area. You can also message me the specs on the laptop, and i can tell you if it cam be upgraded.
