Is it possible to change my processor?

is it possible to change processors with a computer? if so, how?

btw: i have a AMD XP 1600+ processor, which is REALLY slow, considering i can%26#039;t even watch a video in full screen on youtube.|||you need to change you processor...you also need to change your motherboard that support new processor..|||Yes, it%26#039;s possible. Consult your motherboard manual for specific instructions.

If you have a very old motherboard, however, it may not support any recent processors. If that%26#039;s the case, you may as well just get a new motherboard and start from scratch.|||Well, you could change your processor if you can find something that is compatible, but that would be really hard to do seeing as the 1600+ Is so old. however you being unable to watch videos on youtube full screen is most likely caused by your graphics card or GPU. I would look into upgrading that 1st.|||Usually when you are upgrading a new processor you would need to change the motherboard also.|||assuming you probably have an older motherboard considering I have a 3000+XP I would sugest also changing yourmotherboard to take full advantage of your CPU. yes you can. It all depends on your motherboard model. it isn%26#039;t necessary to also change your motherboard. It all depends on the limit of the motherboard.|||the biggest processor you can have is a 3200+ but i think you will have trouble finding one... and im sure its a socket A|||yes possible depends on ur motherboard, try the i7 processor really fast. the best, but only if ur motherboard support, so check what type of motherboard are u using, and look what does that motherboard support. dont buy thei7 if it doesnt support u may waste ur money.|||Yea

this is the best processor that is compatable with your mobo
