How i know that the fan will be better than my stock

I believe the fan has four srews that need to be all turned 1/4 or Half a turn to release the fan unit. If the fan is not cooling the CPU enough then you may find that one or more of the screws are not tight enough already. If they are all tight then you may simply just need some heatsink paste on the CPU, not too thick or it squirts everywhere when you tighten the fan down.

If you fit a new fan you will need some paste anyway if there is no paste pad on the heatsink (the metal bit). Many of the after market replacement fans and heatsinks do not have paste pads. Heatsink paste is essential on the modern processors to create a good contact between the heatsink and CPU to ensure good heat dissipation.

The Phenom will probably run around 35 to 45 degrees C anyway, anywhere to 60 is not too bad, over that for long periods will eventually cause damage, over 75 and you have a fan error, bad contact or even a damaged CPU, 90 or more don't switch it on until you have found the problem or you will permanently damage the CPU in a very short space of time.

Is the voltage set to auto in the BIOS for the CPU? overclocking the CPU or bumping up the voltage will also increase the heat generated.

almost all fans should have a CFM rating, which just says how much air it pushes every minute. to replace, simply take the cover off the side of the case, unplug the power from the fan, unclip the fan, get all the thermal paste off the processor, apply new thermal paste, clip on the new fan, and plug in the power for the fan. I hope it is assumed that the power is unplugged from the entire pc and you are grounded.
