How do you change your PC processor?

Here is some of my pc information

vista laptop

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphics

processor: AMD Turion 64x2

256mb somthing or other

i want to play Empire Total War without glitchy battles and video clips. besides that, the game works and was installed fine. someone suggested upgrading my processor to a

NVIDIA GeForce 8600 Gt or a

ATI Radeon HD 3850,512 MB of video Ram or 1 GB

my question is, how do you change the processor? is it as easy as unplugging one and plugging in the other one, or is it much more complicated? it may be a stupid question but i do not care

could you give me step by step instructions?

thanks

(i really wanna play the game without stop-go constantly)
How do you change your PC processor?
uhhm i think you mean your video card not processor. its very easy , just a simple push into the slot and then your pretty much done. just youtube a guide %26quot;how to install a video card%26quot;. pry the easiest thing you can do when it comes to upgrading. also you pry want to get atleast 2 gigs of ram.

may i suggest you also get the geforce 9600 instead? its a cheap powerful card. i have 2 in sli mode on my system but when i had one i could still play all of todays current games/

EDIT: my bad , didnt see that you had a laptop. laptops are compact and everything in them is usualy intergrated to the board , its pretty much impossible to upgrade anything on a laptop but memory. some alienware laptops have normal video cards but its rare.
How do you change your PC processor?
First of all... none of those are processors, they are video cards.

They do contain their own CPU's (GPU), but you cannot upgrade them like you would a normal CPU.

Secondly, you said you have a laptop. With a laptop you Can't upgrade your graphics card. However, you can upgrade your RAM. Not the video card RAM, but your normal RAM.
It's nearly impossible to upgrade a CPU and video card of a laptop, unless you're a hardcore computer/laptop enthusiast. I either recommend getting a gaming laptop or build a gaming desktop PC (the former can be very expensive). For the latter choice, you'll have the benefit of learning how a PC works. :)
you can change the processor

but that wont help because its the video that's lagging since you have a dual core

a laptop will always suck for games (except alienware and other expensive ones)

and you cant change the video card

sorry to break the news

your better off with a new desktop
changing the processor will not help you because of your old class 5 graphic card

see your graphic card info

http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeFo鈥?/a>

its integrated graphic card ( you can't change it )

so changing the processor probably will not help.
Laptops are REALLY hard to upgrade. So forget processor or video upgrades.

Your only real options are memory upgrade and optimalization.

Take your laptop to your computer shop and request a memory upgrade. (try to get to a gig or more if you have XP or Vista (3 gigabyte is best) stay at 512Meg if you have 98(it doesn't like more).

Have them install the memory and see it boot there!

Before running the game, terminate all user optional software. (MSConfig, uncheck all startup programs you recognize as helper programs. Looking at the list and checking the internet for information about the program helps with this)

DO NOT DISABLE VIRUS PROGRAMS

Reboot the computer and try again.
