Can i change my processor? i have celeron m 1.6 ghz and want to change it to celeron 2.8 ghz which i have. i?

i know how to take out and put in the new one but can i just change it? if not how do i do it? help appreciated. ITS A LAPTOP

I seriously doubt it's the same socket, and it's a big rebuild job. Not for the feint hearted.

You can't change the processor in a laptop... Might as well get a new one.
It depends on your motherboard type.

Check if it has a %26quot;zif%26quot; socket.

and then search for the motherboard number on the net for the specifications.

you better be like a robot at soldering them.. them boards are soldered to MICRONS.. so not for humans to solder..



leave it as it is.. M processers are not the same as normal celerons... if thats the case... your just gonna have a very expensive mechano set..



try more more memory, or a new laptop..
In theory yes, but the chip set is different between laptop and desktop and furthermore it is very very complicated and not worth it.
